Today's Salah Times in Dakar
Pray Dhuhr at 12:58 before the inbox decides your afternoon — focus you protect now is focus you keep until 16:18.
Return Sharper
You will return to your desk after 12:58 more focused than you left it; this is the practical, observable side of salah.
Compared to Touba
Dhuhr in Touba is about 6 minute(s) later than in Dakar; the capital is not always the centre of the country’s solar map.
Mapped Masjids
Save 2–3 masjids on your map app along your usual Dakar routes; one of them will always sit conveniently near 12:58.
Tropical Noon
In tropical Dakar, solar noon at 12:58 brings the sun within a few degrees of straight overhead for most of the year.
Recalibrate the Day
Dhuhr at 12:58 is a daily calibration point in Dakar; without it, the afternoon drifts wherever the calendar pushes it.
Solar vs Clock Time
Dhuhr follows the sun, not the clock; that is why Dakar prays Dhuhr at 12:58 and not at exactly 12:00.
A Better Posture
Sitting between sajdahs at 12:58 stretches hip flexors that have been compressed since morning; salah quietly fixes posture office chairs slowly destroy.
Mute Notifications
A single Do-Not-Disturb window at 12:58 protects more than the prayer — it teaches the team in Dakar when not to interrupt.
