Imsak vs Fajr
Some calendars list an “imsak” a few minutes before Fajr; in fiqh, the binding cutoff in Najaf remains the 04:40 adhan itself.
Timezone vs Solar Noon
In Najaf, Fajr at 04:40 answers to solar geometry, not the political clock — that is why two cities in the same timezone often differ.
